Discovered in 1971 and open to the public since 1974, the
Caves of Frasassi
offer a splendid natural sight, an impressing route with its giant
stalagmites, its inlaid stalactites, its small lakes and the alabaster
columns which come forward under the majestic vaults, a cave which is
regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world.
